High Muck-A-Muck

Mister Mac’s a puppeteer in Bobolenko’s Travelling Show. And boy, is he rubbish! Word’s out that Mac’s gonna be shovelling wolf dung unless he finds a new act fast. So he gets himself a high falutin’ new puppet who takes the crowd by storm. But that gal’s way too big for her wooden boots, a High Muck-a-Muck who’s set her sights on daring deeds far beyond the circus and poor old Mac…

A humdinger of a show to amaze and entertain featuring live acts, live music and stupendous puppets! Yes-indeed-ee!

High Muck-a-Muck is about growing-up and learning to put yourself in other people’s shoes. Besides promoting creativity the story links to the National Curriculum, particularly in the areas of Literacy and PSHE. Our accompanying Education Resources Pack will provide an exciting range of activities for follow-up work including Speaking & Listening, role play, writing and puppetmaking.

Here’s what schools said about last year’s show Teapot:

I believe our children are very fortunate in experiencing such high quality theatre. Your stories stay with them for a long time, a reflection of their deep involvement. The support material that accompanied the production was also of very high quality and useful for follow-up work.
APPLEDORE COMMUNITY PRIMARY

A fantastic opportunity for our pupils to see Premier League theatre. A visit by Theatre Alibi is one of the highlights of our school year.
BORINGTON PRIMARY, PLYMPTON/span>

The show was superb – imaginative, thought-provoking and inspiring.
BASSETS FARM PRIMARY, EXMOUTH

Our children were spellbound throughout. The storyline was well within the grasp of the youngest and yet stretched the oldest emotionally.
SIDBURY PRIMARY

A magical experience for all of us and a fantastic opportunity for pupils in a very small rural school to experience excellent theatre.
HIGHAMPTON PRIMARY

Superb! We teachers were so inspired we rewrote our Literacy Plan.
KINGSBRIDGE COMMUNITY PRIMARY

A marvellous starting point for story ideas that we teachers can easily integrate into the curriculum.
BOLHAM PRIMARY

Touring to Devon schools Autumn 2009.
